Refurbishment and Upgrade of Community Hall

A Working Group has been set up to consider the options for the refurbishment and upgrading of the existing building, considering the thermal efficiency of the building, ensuring structural integrity and making the best use of the available space for the building’s proposed uses.

Various proposals (layout options) for upgrading and refurbishing the Community Hall were generated for consultation at an Open Day event in November 2022.

The layout options and results of the consultation at the Open Day can be found by clicking here.

June 2023 Update

The Architect has now finalised the drawings and submitted a planning application on behalf of the Parish Council for the alterations to the Community Hall.

Next steps

The next steps over the coming months are to draft the building regulation drawings and the specification in order to get costs estimates and then apply for grant funding to carry out the work. Subject to planning permission being granted in September 2023, and grant applications being successful, we would hope to carry out the building works during 2024.

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact any member of the working group. Please also let us know if you would like to help in any way, we would be delighted to hear from you.
